Resting Period and Link Expiry

Resting period and its application helps you keep the number of emails in check that you are sending to your customers for feedback collection. Reaching out to the customers in right amount is as important as reaching out to them at right time for getting their feedback.
Resting period in QuestionPro CX helps you avoid overwhelming your customers with the feedback email requests.

This document outlines the use and configuation of resting period as well as Link expiry settings.

Resting Period defines the number of days the system will wait before sending another email invitation to the same customer for any survey in a feedback system.

The system checks if the customer has received an email invitation in last "x" number of days. If yes, it will not send another email to the same customer, but if not, the email invitation will be sent.

The resting period can be configured for a feedback system and it will apply to all the surveys in that feedback system.

Link Expiry period is the number of days after which the user will not be able to answer the survey. If the user tries to answer the survey after the link is expired, they will see a page with the message - "This survey has been deactivated"

By default the link is active for 30 days which can be updated for the feedback system.

• Go to Admin >> Workflow >> Settings
• Set the resting period in number of days
• Update the link expiry period if required as it is set to 30 days by default
• Click on "Save"

These settings will be applied to the emails being sent after the configuration. It is recommended to configure these settings during implementation set up phase.
